returned to the protests tonight. all of these photos were taken within five minutes walking of my flat. all riot police were armed, and spaniards trashed the streets as they condemned the actions of the rajoy administration and the european union as a whole. as a result, many autonomous regions are now calling for early elections (Catalonia is increasingly vocal about seeking independence and their own national identity) and more dipping into the 23 billion euro emergency fund.
